Once upon a time I visited a peculiar little pub on the outskirts of Crook known as Dodes. It’s official name was The Dun Cow, at least that’s what the sign outside said, but no one at all called it that. The menu consisted of salt and vinegar or cheese and onion, the place was as well kept as Boris Johnsons hair and the welcome not particularly warm. That said, this was a unique pub and am glad I got to drink there at least once.
