Way back in 2006 when the interweb was but a mere child, our good friend Mr Ainsley Wills started an online forum to promote local gigs. A self confessed Ginger Git, he had little problem coming up with a name and Big Ginger Gits Gig Pitt was born. Practically every musician in the North East has frequented this site at one time or another and in it’s heyday was a hive of piss taking, humour, gig reviews, sense and nonsense and ultimately a fabulous online hangout. It remains online and still provides a great nostalgic read to this day.
