Description
Many years ago I played in a trio called Packet of Three with the legendary Alan Meadows. We beg stole and borrowed all sorts of gear in order to go out and make some money to spend on beer. After getting bored of rehearsing very quickly, off we went to entertain the local workies club with approximately one hour of material. 10 minutes into the second set, we had no songs left to play. Rallying myself and Steve Burney (the drummer) with a call of “Follow Me!”, we blundered our way through every song Alan knew (and we didn’t) resulting in a collection of random verses, choruses and solo’s which became known as “the Mudley”. The poor sods who had to listen to us did so through a pair of tatty old “White” cabs. Have a Teeshirt.
